A Short Rest
My time as rides leader will be temporarily interrupted this weekend. Last night, I was involved in an auto accident which has left me a little sore. I am expecting our rides to resume the weekend of December 14-15, 2007 (doctor and weather permitting). In the meantime, please be safe in your travels around our beautiful county.

Sorry to hear about your accident. It sounds like you'll be back in business soon.
A group of us rode down to Jonesboro today to see the trail. You've got a nice trail. I wasn't expecting it to be so heavily wooded. You would never know you were so close to a major mall. The amount of boardwalk over wetlands was impressive too. I don't think I've seen so much boardwalk on one trail.
One of the riders said, "The entire world should be like this".
The route we took came in from Forest Park and returned via Fielder Road and Ellenwood. I've posted the route on bikely.com.
I brought a camera, but with the overcast and low light, I didn't get satisfactory pictures. Will need to try again another day. If I get some photos, I'll send them to you.
All appears to be well with me physically; however, I do not enjoy driving an SUV. It's too cumbersome, not to mention the increase in gas usage/pollution.
Knowing that others have "discovered" and enjoyed the Jester's Creek Trail makes me happy. Riding this trail truly helps me to relax and shut out our conjested world.
Thank you for the new bike riding map. It looks like I'll be back to riding this weekend. I look forward to your return trip to the trail, so that I can view any pictures that you may take.
Have a great weekend.
